Penumbra Overture is a fantastic survival horror game released many years ago, but recently it got a full VR-mod thanks to a coder on Github. Penumbra is a scary Penumbra Overture VR MOD lets ju play the game in Virtual Reality on HTC Vive, with perfect stereoscopic 3D, full Vive motion controller tracking and roomscale. In this talk we'll explore some of the common problems encountered when designing and developing VR games and look at solutions developed by Valve and other game studios. Topics covered include the exciting game design possibilities of room-scale VR and using SteamVR to write hardware-agnostic games.
